POLICY

Term Limits:

I support H.J.Res.12 - Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States to limit the number of terms that a Member of Congress may serve. The Constitution does not currently have set term limits for the House & the Senate - this needs to change. I believe that the House should be term limited to no more than 3 terms (6 years) and the Senate should be term limited to 2 terms (12 years).

This not only helps with keeping special interests out of politics, but it also keeps more citizens more involved in local politics - ensuring new voices and guaranteeing that Congress is composed of people with real-world expertise, not career politicians.

Healthcare Access:

It astounds me that it’s 2025 and the United States does not offer universal healthcare. Healthcare is a human right and every single American deserves to not only see the doctor when they’re sick, but also to be able to afford preventative care. Full stop. Just recently, my doctor ordered a specialized test for me and when I called to schedule, the provider let me know that the copay would be $677.44. That is wholly absurd and unreasonable. I’ll repeat it again, healthcare is a human right - not a luxury that only the wealthy should be able to afford.

I intend to make a strong effort for universal healthcare, paid parental leave, expand mental health services, and further one’s rights to make medical choices for themselves - government should never decide healthcare choices for an individual - that is between them and their doctor.

Keeping Special Interests out of Politics:

I have no intention of taking a single dollar from ANY special interest group. My vote(s) cannot be bought. I prefer to run on the premise that I work directly FOR the people; not anyone else. I will NOT accept donations from corporate PAC’s and I believe in full transparency as to how every single dollar raised in this campaign is spent.

Furthermore, I sincerely believe that we need to get billionaires out of politics. District 9 deserves a representative that adequately represents the people - not special interest groups to further line their pockets and vote against their constituents best interests.

Immigration Reform:

I do not in any way support what the current administration is doing with ICE. Violating anyone’s constitutional rights is wrong - regardless of their legal status in this country. Due process exists for a reason and it absolutely should not be infringed upon. That being said, I don’t believe that fully open borders are ideal either. There needs to be a clearer path to amnesty / legal immigration for those that wish to live here. The entire process needs to be fixed so that citizenship is obtainable. This CAN be accomplished by investing in infrastructure and technology.

Education in Arizona:

I have two children that attend Arizona public schools. Arizona consistently ranks as one of the lowest states in America for education. That is not only unacceptable, but it needs to change. We need to invest more in early education, increase teacher pay, reduce class sizes, and expand access to learning materials.

Anecdotally, my youngest child just started kindergarten this year. He is one of 25+ students in his classroom. Studies have repeatedly shown that children learn better when they’re able to have more interactions with their teacher - I’m not sure how one teacher can solely interact with 25+ children in a single day. Education has to become a higher priority here - these children are our future.
